Sales of electric two-wheelers in the country may increase tenfold from 1 million in 2024 to 1.05 crore in 2029. This reach will increase to 37.8% from the current 6.1%. According to Bain Analysis and Climate Trends, this will reach 12.6% by 2026 and 18.20% by 2027. However, traders believe that the reduction in subsidy has hit the sales of electric bikes. This year only 8 lakh vehicles will be sold.

According to Bain and NITI Aayog, 840,000 e-cars are expected to be sold in 2029. Then 14% of people in the country.

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer Winfast Auto to invest Rs 16,638 crore in India. The company has signed an agreement with the Indian government to enter the world's third largest automobile market. Winfast will set up a plat in Tamil Nadu. According to a statement issued by the company, an initial investment of Rs 4,159 crore will be made. The construction of the plat will start this year. It will have a production capacity of 1,50,000 vehicles per annum.
